Day 17 - Mother's Day

Today was a great first Mother's Day. Walker continued to do well with the antibiotics. They have decided to keep Walker on antibiotics for the next 7 days as a precaution but his color is much better still.

We started our Sunday at Ardmore Baptist for a touching Mother's Day Sunday sermon. We miss our church, Gospel Baptist, but the people at Ardmore have made us feel right at home and that's been a huge blessing. After church, we went to the hospital to see little man before lunch. Great-Grandparents Mamaw and Papaw Pruett and Grandparents Ricky and Kerry Walker and Uncle David all went to lunch. Afterwards, we all went back to the hospital to see Baby Walker.

For Mother's Day, Walker gave Mommy a picture frame with his hands and feet and pictures of Mommy holding him and of Mommy and Daddy holding his feet. Daddy got Mommy a First Impressions necklace that has Walker's fingerprint.

Finally, Mommy got to hold Walker again tonight. He now weighs 1lb. 12oz., and Mommy loves the way he feels on her skin. A great first Mother's Day!

Thanks again for the continued prayers and support. We also want to congratulate friends Brian and Amanda Foster on the birth of their baby girl Cheyenne Elizabeth.
